Revision ACL Reconstruction (AANA23) Considerations and Challenges in Revision ACL Reconstruction This ICL reviews workup considerations and technical challenges in ACL reconstruction, including bone loss, tunnel malposition, malalignment correction and utilizing extra-articular procedures. Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to: define strategies for managing femoral and tibial bone loss and/or malpositioned tunnels in revision ACL reconstruction, including one-versus two-staged approaches and alternative graft sources (e.g. quadriceps, contralateral patellar tendon, iliotibial band); discuss common indications and preferred techniques for a lateral extra-articular procedure in the treatment of primary or revision ACL reconstruction; and critically evaluate the role of periarticular knee osteotomy for the treatment of revision ACL reconstruction.
