This ICL covers how to adjust your practice to the devaluation of surgical reimbursements, understanding the current health policy climate and what to anticipate in the future, understanding the OrthoPAC and why this is our voice. Additionally, participants will review discussions on private equity and other alternatives to ancillary productivity.

Upon completion of this course, the participants should have a better understanding of:

  • The need for direct-to-employer contracting as the future of reimbursement for Orthopaedic Surgeons as well as appropriate case bundling techniques.
  • The advantages and disadvantages of direct hospital relationships to decide if this is a viable opportunity for their group.
  • How employers are determining which orthopaedic groups to affiliate with and advice on how to develop these direct employer relationships.
