Awards will be selected from approved abstracts that were submitted to the Annual Meeting. Candidates will be contacted by the Research Committee informing them that their abstract is being considered for one of the awards listed below.

- Recognition of paper at AANA's Annual Meeting for “Best” Resident/Fellow Paper

Richard O'Connor Award
- $2,000 honorarium
- Award plaque
- Recognition of paper at AANA's Annual Meeting for “Best” Overall Paper

Patellofemoral Anatomy Research Award
- $5,000 honorarium

Stephen S. Burkhart Shoulder Innovation Research Award
