Featuring a world-class AANA and ISAKOS faculty made up of renowned arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgeons, this unique course is a global education opportunity like none other. Participants can expect to learn cutting-edge techniques in knee and shoulder surgery as well as gain comprehensive, practical pearls to take back to the operating room back home. Included in the course are two days of two-on-one hands-on cadaver labs along with access to lectures and instruction in both English and Spanish. Located at the premier MARC Institute in Doral, Florida, this course will cover an array of advanced surgical topics for the knee and shoulder such as osteotomy, bankart repairs, biceps tenodesis and more!

Participants can select a registration option that suits their individual needs. Options include registering for both knee and shoulder labs, knee only lab (Friday), or shoulder only lab (Saturday).

Advanced Lab Courses were designed with the whole surgical team in mind. Physician attendees are strongly encouraged to bring their PA, NP, RN, or other support staff. There is no better way to prepare for real-world OR situations than to train together.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course the participant will be able to:

  1. Understand current controversies and recommended treatments for knee injuries including the appropriate indications for surgery and employ the latest techniques for surgical repair and reconstruction
  2. Accurately identify the most important shoulder pathologies, understand the appropriate indications for surgery and employ the latest techniques for surgical repair and reconstruction
  3. Familiarize with ultrasonic evaluation of knee and shoulder anatomy and patho-anatomy and the use of ultrasonography as an aid for needle placement in and around these joints

The primary target audience for Shoulder/Knee Lab Course is AANA members and other healthcare professionals who desire to improve their arthroscopic knowledge, competence, performance, and patient outcomes. 

Continuing Medical Education/Credit Designation

This is a non-CME designated event.

This course will take place at the Miami Anatomical Research Institute, located in Doral, FL. Please fly in to Miami International Airport, as the venue is less than 5 miles away. There is parking available on location. We recommend staying at the InterContinental at Doral, Miami. The hotel can be reached at 1-305-468-1400.

Entry in the United States

When you arrive in the United States, you must show valid travel documents as part of the entry process. The documents you need and whether your passport needs to be valid for six months after your travel dates depend on the country you are arriving from and your citizenship or status.
